Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Pairbond iPhone app ("Pairbond") does with your information. Pairbond is published by Pioneer Group ApS, Denmark ("we").

The short version

• No account, email address or password.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics, no data sold or shared for advertising.
• What you add is stored on your iPhone. If you connect with a partner, it's also stored on our sync server so both phones see it.

What Pairbond stores

• On your iPhone: the names you enter for yourself and your partner, the day you got together, your love notes, moods, kisses, answers to questions, quiz picks, journal entries and their photos, countdowns, drawings on the shared canvas, and your settings.
• On our sync server, only when you connect with a partner: the same items, so they appear on both phones. They're linked to your shared space's invite code and to an anonymous, random user ID that the app creates. It is not connected to your email, phone number or Apple ID.
• Thumb kiss: while you both hold the screen, touch positions are sent live between your phones and are not stored.

Our sync server is run by Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Only the two members of a shared space can read its data.

Photos

Pairbond only sees the photos you choose to add to a journal entry. It does not get access to the rest of your photo library. Added photos are made smaller and stored with that entry.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app checks with Apple whether you have an active subscription, and shares only "has Premium" with your partner so they get it too.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, they're scheduled on your iPhone. No notification data goes through our servers.

Website waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address and the date you joined, only to email you when Pairbond launches. Email us to be removed.

Deleting your data

• Leave (Settings → Partner) removes you from the shared space. When both partners have left, the shared space and everything synced to it is deleted from our server.
• Delete all my data (Settings) erases everything on your iPhone and leaves the shared space.
• Deleting the app removes the data stored on your iPhone.
• You can also email us to ask for deletion. See Support.

Children

Pairbond is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us using the details on the Support page.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
