Day 100, day 500, day 1,000: the milestones are fun to celebrate, and counting them by hand is a pain. Here's how to work it out and what to do when you hit them.
The quick way
Use the free days together calculator. Enter the day you got together and it shows your days, weeks and months together, plus your next milestone and its date.
By hand
Count the days between two dates, then add one if you count your first day as day 1. Most couples count the first day as day 1, so a couple that got together on 1 January reaches day 100 on 10 April (or 9 April in a leap year).
Milestones worth celebrating
| Milestone | Roughly | Idea |
|---|---|---|
| 100 days | 3 months | Recreate your first date |
| 6 months | 183 days | Write each other a short letter |
| 365 days | 1 year | A trip, even just one night away |
| 500 days | 1 year 4 months | A photo album or journal of your first 500 days |
| 1,000 days | 2 years 9 months | A big dinner and a look back at your favourite moments |
| 2,000 days | 5 years 5 months | Plan something you've always talked about |
Which date counts?
First date, first kiss, the day you made it official: there's no rule. Pick the one that means the most to you both and stick with it.
Never miss one
Pairbond counts your days together on the Us tab, shows them on a home screen and lock screen widget, and lets you add countdowns for birthdays, anniversaries and trips.
